The fire pack is pretty good value as you get the extra controller and memory card inside the pack, but most of the game deals should be decent value for money as well.

I`m guessing your daughter is quite young, so if you ask for a list of "recommended games" you`re likely to get stuff you`re not after. If you decide to go for a game when you buy a PS2, there are adventure games suitable for all ages. I`m not trying to put ideas in your head (too much) but Kingdom Hearts strikes me as a good example. A nice long adventure game, suitable for any age.
The game everyone is raving about at the moment is GTA: Vice City, but I`m guessing this might not be what you`re looking for, but I thought I`d mention it anyway.
