So many games follow the same story all the time. There's a good guy and he wins-why. Games could be so much cooler if you play through the game narrowly avoiding death constanly only to be brutally killed at the end. That way sequels could follow a new path where you play as the "bad" guy who is finally beaten. I mean the Resi games are just so annoying where you always seem to win. What kind of person could survive an army of flesh eating corpses with the 'boss' often being a 9 foot super zombie with a bazuka for an arm. I'd much rather see by character die by decapitation or something cool and gory. MGS2 they don't really need Snake so why didn't they just make is bungi snap so he ploughed into the aft deck causing a terrible mess.
Anyway getting back to my point....games could just do with that element of evilness. Not like GTA3 cos your aim is to kill things making you the good guy. If anyone knows of a game where the bad guy wins-tell me just to prove that this idea has been done and I'm not just talkin crazy.

P.S: I know this should probably be in the game ideas bit but it's always empty and I can't be arsed talkin to myself.

Evil surrounds us - at work, uni, college, school, movies, games and even our local bakery as I found out yesterday - it makes games a whole lot interesting, but not life!

yeh but being killed at the end? that means you know that what ever happens you will always die at the end, and what happens if its a big hit? they cant have a sequel because the character is dead

Now would it not be pritty darn stupid to play a game like Resi, get right to the end avoiding death at all costs to them finally get beaten right at the end?

There is no real story in that, and if games did this they would get much critisism from gamers by making them need a sequel and so being a cash in.

Some games may be able to use this though, Command and Conquer and Operation Flashpoint both give you the option of playing as either the Allies or soviets.
