Yep. Buy it. Classic Metroid. There's no other way to describe it.

It's almost as good as Super Metroid, which was a stunning, stunning, stunning game. It's a harder game, at some points unfairly hard to the point where you think you must have accidentally skipped forward to a point where you need some uber-power gun and suit to survive. It has a substantial plot, unlike Super Metroid, which changes the game structure quite substantially. Rather than just let you wander around the game directs you along certain paths. This makes the levels much harder to navigate - to get from one point in the game to another is a lot harder than in Super Metroid. Also, whereas SNES Metroid was just quite eerie, in places Fusion can be downright terrifying - there's a virus with your old suit at full power tracking you around the station, and encounters with it mean swift, certain death. Getting an order to "Move quickly, the SA-X is near" through unfamiliar terrain means you move. And quickly.
