Not only do they seem to believe that Microsoft are after SEGA and NOT Nintendo, but they also mentioned something brief in there about how Yu Suzuki - the mind behind Shenmue - has apparently been considering leaving SEGA to start his own thing.... Interesting!
So even if SEGA were to be brought-up by Bill Gates, just like Rare, they still wouldn't have control over the rights to any forthcoming new Shenmue games from No.III onwards. It could still appear on the GameCube or PS2 then...
But what would now happen to SEGA without Suzuki?
Now I know he hasn't had the greatest of impacts on games in this new-generation of gaming with Super Monkey Ball, F-Zero GC, and many others SEGA titles coming from other teams, but then again, SEGA haven't really done too-well themselves, now that I read they may be looking to cut-jobs.
The point I am trying to make here is that he may still have something to offer the gaming public (through SEGA) that could really change things - maybe even Shenmue III...?
Anyway, that's enough from me.
What are your thoughts on this as TRUE SEGA fans?
