I'm jealous, I wish I was getting a brand new PC and that looks like you've got one hell of a machine there ½pint. I have decided anyway to build my own PC next year, though I'm still completely decided on it yet as knowing my track record I'm going to botch something up.
See, to be fair, I've given up with PC gaming, I'll stick to consoles, they're basically just PCs these days, but without the agro of having to upgrade and maintain them.
Plus they're not hindered by Windows event driven operations, that really sucks, just imagine the fact that your game is sharing processor time with ever other program running, Windows should die.

yea consoles seem more fun but pcs are good for most fps (except sequels are coming out and gettingboring), u dont need to upgrade consoles either to play games like ut2k3 u have to look at the specs required to play it.
plus theres windows :S trojans, viruses, cheats, hackers.....
i see pc gaming dieing if they bring out more sequels to classic fps games.......

I see §n][pe® is being his own pessimistic self again. Actually I can see console dieing out if they rely too much on online games, being that online gaming is a bit crap and boring.

The main differences I am going for are
ATI 9700 Pro card - kills the Geforce hands down
Soundblaster Audigy 2 & Creative Labs Inspire 6.1 6700 speakers
(Possibly the best sound setup money can buy without spending £500+
Corsair RAM - simply the best
The Iiyama monitor - I assume the Pro454 is absolutely magnificent

ATI 9700 Pro is a pretty good card although the drivers written for it arent that great you will probably find crashes esspecially when coming out of 3d games into 2d environment.
