I was pretty gutted last night actually. I was in a heavy mech and went down a steep hill into a river bed area which I ended up stuck in. On the cliff above me was a mech just moving back and fourth with his back to me - fighting the other players (it was a team deathmatch).
I lined up to see whose side he was on but unfortunatly I wasn't getting anything to tell me when I aimed my target over him.
I decided to take the gamble and launched a big attack at him. It curled over the cliff and smashed right into the back of the guys head - an excellent shot ! :-)
UnclePeat went up like fireworks........Unfortunatly UnclePeat was also on my side - oh bollo..!!!
One thing that does wind me up a bit about this game online though is the obvious favouritism on the Mad Cat mech. It seems pretty pointless to select a mech other than this and you can never seem to dodge those poxy PPC's (the energy bolts) once they're fired. And its all well firing missles, etc, but they just don't do enough damage !
Overall, the only time its worth having the likes of a heavy mech is if you've managed to create a team of friends that you know and work well together with so its not just a free for all.
That way someone can control the likes of an Atlas and attack from distance while the other mechs close in to keep the opponents away a little. I actually found a nice sniping spot earlier and ended up with 12 kills and 6 deaths (top scorer of the green team which also won I'll add). ;-)
Anyway, my tagline is Savatt and I'll be on tonight from around 10pm - midnight (maybe a little later). Just gotta work out how to do my friends list to get a few of you on now. ;-)
Remember though lads - I can't talk on there yet. ;-)
So for now I guess I'll be shelving Unreal and Ghost Recon because I see those being games where you really need to be able to chat to your team mates. Plus Mech Assault is doing a good job of keeping me entertained. ;-)

Why not?
My tag is Savatt
I sent you a friend request thing last night ;-)
The Mad cat is a good Mech, you need a Null signature to avoid the PPC, the Mad Cat has this Null signature when you press down the right thumb stick, you will see that the Mech starts to flash.
Small Mechs are also chosen quite a bit but only very good players can win with these.
