Lots of topics, but I don't much seem to care anymore what other people think.

I don't care if you think Nintendo games are for kids, Playstations only good for sequels, and the Xbox is too big to ba a decent games console.

I can't be botheredtrying to convert you to my way of thinking, and I certainly don't feel like expressing my opinion on which console is best anymore.

You see I know what I like, and I'm happy with that.

To me, playing at being Mario is more fun than playing at being Solid Snake. Racing a kart is more fun than racing a car.

If I change my opinion, I'll change my choice of console, but whilst Nintendo and their second parties continue to release original games, I can see myself being satisfied with them.

Obviously not every game will be a revolution, but I'm pretty sure not to suffer from the same old, same old.

On May 3rd I could find myself in a haunted house armed with a vacuum cleaner battling ghosts. Think that sounds gay? I don't I think it sounds like a laugh.

Think Zelda now looks stupid? I don't I'm looking forward to playing it.

I have kids, and most of the games are suitable for them to see, but don't believe that's why I'm choosing Gamecube, it's entirely selfish of me, I want it, I want those games.

In a couple of weeks, when the Xbox is released there are going to be people sat at home enjoying them. Why not let them? You know, they won't struggle getting it through the door, and they'll get used to the controller, and I'm sure they'll have great fun. Halo is a great FPS, Project Gotham Racing is an adequate racer, Dead or Alive 3 is a passable beat 'em-up with the added advantage of bouncing breasts going for it!

For the past year and a quarter there have been people happily playing Playstation 2's. If you think it's rubbish, don't get one, but I don't reckon that those sat at home playing it reckon it's rubbish. I don't believe that they were 'tricked' into buying the console because it's cool.

So yeah, I know what I like, and that's what I'm going to get. I hope you all find some great games that you enjoy, but don't knock others for their choices, we're all different, in a similar kind of way...

The main reason why I'm still interested in videogames is I don't really know what I like. My games collection ranges from Rhythm dance'em'ups to RTSs. For instance I loved Zelda on the SNES but didn't like it much on the N64. I didn't really like Mario on the SNES but Mario 64 is one of my favourite games of all. - It is for these reasons that I intend to (eventually) purchase all of the new consoles.

I agree with you Meka. I am a Nintendo fan, but more importantly, first and foremost I am a gaming fan. To be honest, I don't have a blind allegiance to Nintendo, I will buy whatever has the best games. Ideally, I would like to have all three next gen consoles. But I won't and I'm not going to pretend that one of them is rubbish just because I don't have it.

Excellent post Meka, and I agree with you, even if I don't really say it myself on these forums.
We shouldn't really care what other people wanna do or say, and we should make OUR OWN descisions, and not be influenced by others!

I too am getting a GameCube, and i'm only one of 3 people in my entire year who're getting one!
Everyone else has a PS2, and they're telling me to get one, but I just ignore them and say that you may want one but I don't!
I've mainly chosen the GameCube because of the games, it's also another Nintendo console, and I loved the N64!
The price is an extra bonus for me, and I just hope I can get the money soon!!

Excellent, similiar thoughts by me in Movies forum about shallow Hollywood films.

They make me laugh. So they rule.

And Brad Pitt is still a damn good actor. No, I'm not gay. Really.

If you don't care about our opinions, then don't read them, it's as simple as that :0) That's not to say that I wish you hadn't posted it, because I laughed whilst reading.

ROFL! Good yet somewhat controversial post Meka!

The proof will be in the pudding. I don't swear allegiance to any company or product. I certainly wouldn't mock people regarding consoles which haven't even been released yet.

But we can only go by what we've heard and seen regarding the Xbox and GC, which is why its easy to say

Xbox - Massive lump of a pc disguised as a console.

GC - Rather homosexual looking.

I think that the only thing in the GC Zelda game that I don't like so far is Link's makeover.

I'm sure the rest is great!
