Example 1 -
A nursery in Toronto has renamed it's Christmas tree to a 'Holiday Tree'. This was alledgedly done so that it doesn't offend non - Christians. I'm not a Christian and I'm not offended by the whole Christman thing.. I just see it as a a chance to get some presents :0)
Example 2 -
Back to Canada again but this time it's a national thing. You know there's that song (or whatever :-P ) called 'The 12 days of Christmas'. Seemingly some smart git in the government decided that this would also offend non-Christians and so they decided to change 'The 12 days of Christmas' to 'The 12 dats of GIVING'.
Call me whatever you want but I think this is WAY over the top.
Comments?
It might offend non-americans, you know.
Technically to be correct it should be
On the first day of giving, recievin and sharing my true love gave to me..
Anyway, some PC has gone completely bonkers and taken way too far, to be PC we shouldn't call ourselves humans because it contains a male word! Come on!
People should say what they mean instead of embellishing their comments in political correctness.
