Reading Max Power the other day and someone wrote in with a scam (kinda)
the situation: this person was in a car park, and when reversing out accidentally hit a parked car, so the person got out and wrote a note saying

"I bumped into your car, and atthis moment people are looking at me thinking that i'm writing my details down (which is theright thing to do) and won't call the police, but i'm not, goodbye"

gah, although this is genius, it's a bit annoying.

also, I had the idea the other day while walking through a shopping mall kinda thing, and saw some people (members of the public) ironing clothes, it was for Daz or something.

anyway, what if a group of people, wh were too lazy to do their own ironing, did this? they could set up a stand for a new iron, e.g. Phillips new Z123? and get members of the public to 'try' it out? maybe bring along another iron so they can see the difference, chat to them a little...etc

don't know how much it would cost to rent the place, probably cheaper to get them done ina shop somewhere, but just an idea...

anyway, please tell me if there are more? I love these kinda things...

i seen this on a episode of doug 7 years ago.
give someone a puzzle to do and ask them to send it back with a pound.
give them a harder puzzle and ask to send back with 2 pounds.
then 5 pounds, then 10 pounds etc.
do this continuously until they stop sending back their money.

Create a good looking sports game, then release the SAME GAME year after year with just updated team stats. Call it FIFA 2002 or something like that, and you're onto a winner.

The customer recieved a card with the words "eat less" written on one side.

Put an personal AD in a newspaper saying:

A GUARANTEED WAY OF MAKING THOUSANDS OF POUNDS A YEAR WITHOUT LIFTING A FINGER. SEND ONE POUND FOR DETAILS.

Then to every sender of one pound dispatch a postcard saying: "DO AS I DO".

(Simple, but probably illegal.)
