MGS2: Sons of Liberty - The blurb:
"Every PlayStation 2 owner simply has to play it"
9/10 PlayNation
"State-of-the-art gaming with intelligence and soul. You must own this game"
10/10 Official PlayStation2 Magazine
"Better than almost all others and deserves its place in the top one percent"
9/10 PlayStation World
"Arguably the best game ever, and it's already redefining what games are supposed to be like"
96% PSM2
Features:
The most anticipated PlayStation 2 game of the year.
Sequel to the legendary Metal Gear Solid - rated by many as
the best game for the PSone format.
Atmospheric soundtrack and cinematic music score by Harry
Gregson Williams.
Incredibly realistic graphics and astounding visual effects.
Complex and exciting story.
Fully interactive surroundings and intelligent enemies - a
game where anything can happen.
Stunning presentation and a wealth of game modes.
Includes bonus DVD: 'The Making of Metal Gear Solid 2'.
Release: Friday week.
So you can see my dilemma. Both these games look equally great, but if I save up my pennies for Britney's Dance Beat I'll be missing out on 'arguably the best game ever', but if I go for MGS2 now I might not have the spare cash around Summertime to enable me to 'experience Britney like never before'.
Graphically, from what I've seen, both games are equal. From the soundtrack point of view I've got to choose between the kicking MGS2 Gregson Williams score or all of Britney's fantastic hits. From the gameplay point of view I've got one of the most thrilling FPS/TPS control systems or bemani 'follow the buttons on screen' type controls, each as equally thrilling as the other.
I can't see anything to distinguish one over the other, so I put it to the forums: Which one should I get?
> Apparently, Britney sucks. So the decision is easy.
Exactly, she wins easily !
I'd go for the original choice:
> ICO.
ICO is clearly not in the same league as Britney therefore does not enter the equation.
> Apparently, Britney sucks. So the decision is easy.
So does Otacon's parrot, so it's still a dilemma.
