Hey everyone, i have spoken to may people about which would actually sell the best from the end of the year, giving into account that PS2 has been out the longest. I personally think XBOX although they are so expensive at the moment i believe microsoft being microsoft will want to win hands down so they will just lower their prices so that they beat everyone, what does everyone else think?

Well, several market analysts have predicted the PS2 to sell more than the GameCube and Xbox combined, and it's not surprising considering the massive head-start, low-ish price, PlayStation brand name and Son't reputation for quality, especially amongst the all-important 18-30 age group with large disposable incomes.
Needless to say, the PS2 WILL sell more than the GameCube and Xbox.

Well, for the price that the GC is launching i'll be very suprised if it doesn't sell EXTREMELY well for a good few months.
HOWEVER, consistency is the key, and we know Sony hold the ace in that particular market. Their sales will be preety consistent for many months and years to come, whereas the GC may struggle to keep up with the pace.
As for Xbox, how will we know? I'd say it'll sell very well indeed, but whatever happens Microsoft will have some extremely over-rated figures to throw our way.

Personally I reckon that the PS2 will continue sell well, but at launch I imagine both Xbox and Gamecube will sell out.
I think how the Xbox fares depends on it's second wave of games. I know the Gamecube has a quality line up for the first year, so will keep selling to those Nintendo fans, but I don't know much about the Xbox's future line-up.

I think PS2 has it in the bag. Not because its better but about 6 months ago it had already sold over 20 million units world wide. I dont know what the figure is at the moment but if I quoted 30 million I wouldnt think I would be far wrong. So with this lead can the GC and X-Box ever beat the PS2?
I pretty much think the PS2 has won already, purely because it was released over a year before the other consoles, it has a dvd player (for dvds) ooooh and looks like a radiator it aparently has some half decent games for it, wouldn't know.
