Probably alike myself, over the years youve probably brought a lot of games over a huge range of consoles. From the amiga to the master system to the playstation to the PS2. But are game designers trying to get us to pay more for less? Some games are much better value than others. They last a lot longer and give a lot more nejoyment. An example that comes o mind is when i brought both tomb raider 2 and final fantasy 7 on the same day - both at £40 each. Tomb raider lasted me about a week and final fantasy lasted me a considerable while longer with the much enjoyable FMV and mini arcades. It makes you wonder if game designers are getting lazy. It must be the same comaprrison to games that were made years ago as with old technology even a dated games that was long to play and enjoyable would have still taken a lot of time and effort - how amny of you would laugh now if you were asked to pay £40 for an identical port of the origional pong to the PS2 with absolutely no differences... i thought so. Really what is the shortest game ever that you can complete/ has replay value and some of the longest have to the the Final Fantasy games, all except for no.9 i have enjoyed (havent played 9 before you all moan)So are game designers getting lazy and the really good designers shining through or is it just me? If i see another army men game im gonna "£$"£"$"£$

Sorry, had to let that rant out!

Trouble is with games these days is all the fancy graphics, it must take ages designing all the small details in games.

Back in the day of the Amiga you could probably make an epic in a month or so.

i think we're getting ripped off on hardware now though £20 for a joypad and plus all those memory cards which also cost £20.

Hey whats wrong with Tomb Raider 2? I bet you didnt complete it did you?! Anyhoo i wouldnt call game designers lazy - just maybe business minded ie. they want to make as much money in the shortest time just like most people in this world!
