I'm sure you all have done it once. you may not feel too ashamed. you may have actually got away with it. some of you though, may be ruined by poor quality, and shoddy craftsmanship.

You may or may not have guessed what I'm talking about. I better get on with it before I lose the Point myself.

Third Party Peripherals.

memory cards. steering wheels. controllers. wires of any sort. the like.

Memory cards. always so much cheaper, but in the unfortunate case of Nintendo boffs, the third party versions are almost guaranteed glitchy. very many people claim to have lost data on their SR free gift mem card. so why do people do it? do you buy a faulty lifejacket because its cheap? No, you would not. would you buy 50-50 chance memory card because its cheap? no, you wouldn’t. some of you may have been unfortunate enough to have received one with your Gamecube fire pack. then you should save up those reddies as soon as possible and send away for a free card, and back up your files to that as well, because It will suck mightily If you lose thy data.

controllers. just as important. the third party ones are acceptable, but why? why not shed out that extra tenner for a quality one? it's got to last the rest of your consoles life, so there's no point in buying one who's buttons will stick and joystick will snap. the best gaming experiences could be spoiled by faulty controllers. and frantic button bashing with mates, the titles like Mario party, and super smash bros melee, they will be no fun with unresponsive buttons and broken shoulder buttons.

game especially. you should never buy their merchandise. stick to buying their games, but for the sake of gaming, stay away from their shoddy, unreliable crap they sell as Peripherals.

so, in future, whether its Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo, always, always buy official.

I've still had no problems with my 2 4mb Joytech Memory Cards I got free from SR a while back, before they changed them to the Logic 3 8mb ones.
Does anyone know if those are any good??

Also, Logic 3's Pro Pads are supposed to be the second-best 'Cube controllers around (behind the official ones, obviously).

If you are referring to the 8mb Logic3 memory card then im one of those people.
Data corruption is not something i expected so soon after getting one, ok so its not official and you get what you pay for (the memory card was free so go figure) but i kinda hoped it would last me longer than it did.

Excellent true post btw :)

like I said, they are going to have to last the rest of your consoles life. what point is there in buying cheap? its not like its a slap dash quick fix, thes console is going to be with you upwards of 5 years.

Our local game shop has a 'cube pod' and the 2nd controller is i think a Logic 3 pad. It's terrible, the two handles feel almost square and the plastic top of the analougue stick slips too mcuh.

But if you added up the money of all the official peripherals stuff then compare to the 3rd party with the same list, I wouldn't be surpised if there is a £100 - £200 Gap Difference...

thanks. I just wanted to express my amazement why anyone would buy a cheapo third party controller/memcard, when they know full well of all the claims of erasing memory circulating. I will never go anywhere near one. always official.

Heh, This a warning which is ture, 3rd Party are un-guaranteed makers for fun Gaming,

I have the Vemon pad, and the socket is stuck in Port 1, and God is it annoying that i have to play with it in every 1 player game.

However, Do anyone relise that why can't they just stick to the narmol desgin and change it a "Little" Not so the holder are for the hand size for elfs and the control stick slipply as ice. Its mad and it just seems that they don't know when to learn or something.

For a company to be successful they need to be great at the things they make or do. Some reason they Seriously rush things and make the pads, and other stuff unplayable.

I haven't lost any data on my two free memory cards from SR. However, I believe that they changed the third party memory card shortly after I recieved mine.
