Beat ‘Em Ups:
Without Beat ‘Em Ups we would feel an acute need to go out, find someone and… well… Beat ‘Em Up! You see without the progression from ‘Street fighter’ to ‘Tekken’ then to ‘Dead or Alive’ we wouldn’t be under the very false impression that we can really do Karate or we actually can snap someone’s back and throw them out of a window without even breaking a sweat.
Shoot ‘Em Ups:
Without our trust old shoot ‘em ups the most valuable including Goldeneye, Halo and more recently Timesplitters 2. Granted the consequences aren’t as dire as in beat ‘em ups but bad nonetheless. You see with the lack of shooters more people would join the army and so more wars would be started and so the world would crumble! Seriously!
Stealth/Espionage:
Ah good old stealth we all love them don’t we? Being transported to a parallel virtual universe where we can break necks with a flick of our wrists where we blend into shadows like a blade of grass in a field, but what if we didn’t have this outlets for our secret ‘Espionage’ urges it could be that we would all start jumping around corners with gun shaped hands or sneaking to the toilet at 1 o’clock in the morning without making a sound. Ok so not at all dire but still do we really want this mental disorder?
Driving/Racing:
Without driving sims or racing games the standard of the worlds driving would slip to levels far below the average 2 year old. You see in reality we all start to learn to drive on out TV’s or PC screens games like Gran Turismo will surely shape young peoples driving careers. And without this lack of tuition there would be more crashes (so obviously more deaths)
Flight Sims:
Without flight sims like Microsoft’s series or deadly skies (as but two examples) the number of RAF pilots would take a shocking increase thus more planes would be needed and so the worlds budget would start to be used up on ‘Harrier Jump Jets’
RPG’s:
A world without RPG’s would be a world in disorder you see RPG’s are among the most unrealistic games and that is why we love them so, you don’t follow well think about it we play games to be someone else and with this genre we see the most radical difference so there are two possible outcomes from lack of RPG’s
1. We would all go insane and sit in a corner saying ‘Its s-s-s-s-sooo Cold!’
2. We would go out capturing wildlife animals and telling them to use their ‘Tackle’ Attack.
Or we would all live in a perfect peaceful utopia… NAH!
As you can see a world without games is not a world at all it would without a doubt crumble and collapse. WE NEED GAMES. KEEP GAMING. FOR THE GOOD OF THE EARTH!
