I'm guessing everyone or at least most know that on certain games such as these two, you can upload tracks from CD's and play them during the game rather than the soundtracks already in the game.
I'm going to buy the soundtrack to the film Fast and the Furious and upload some of the tracks onto my X-Box for Project Gothem. :-)
Anyone else got similar ideas for doing this or are you gonna be leaving this capability alone for the time being ?
I love the fact you can do this with certain games. :-) I'm hoping a really good flight sim game like the Ace Combat series will arrive on X-Box with this option included. I've got a Top Gun soundtrack CD thats just begging to have Danger Zone and Mighty Wings uploaded for such a game. ;-)
But games that only offer 10 songs and maybe a in house sound track people may want to put on there own tracks. Or maybe with PGR and Amped you may find a soundtrack that suits the game.
Mind you if it sucks I have been known to stick a CD on instead, so maybe people will use it.
But I think only PGR and Amped use the feature at launch, I know for a fact that JSRF WONT use the feature as Smilebit(The developer of JSRF) said having different songs on other than the game music, will make the game lose its unique sound.
But with PGR you have 70 music tracks, which are from some good bands. And the radio feature in the first game or in the more recent GTA3 is in PGR. So this will be fun to listen to.
Amped has 120 or 150 music tracks in the game. So there is enough to chose from.
Although I may put some music on just to see how it all works e.t.c. But I think i'll be happy with the in game music, well at least for the first week or so.
