Some people you talk to laugh or look at you in a weird kind of way when you tell them you play computer games. When you ask them why they find it humorous there seems to be a common factor - they didn't play games when younger. I played my first game on a ZX Spectrum 128k (hahahah PMSL) at about six or seven and now do most of my gaming on the PS2 or sometimes my PC. I've played games all through my life so far and probably will do until I'm old, beating the grandkids at Gran Turismo 87.1!! Do you reckon it's in the blood?? Once a gamer always a gamer
I think gaming is a commitment, you buy a console and even if you dont like your initial games you wll stick it out because you dont want to waste £100. The gaming world then sucks you in and bleeds your rotting corpse for every last penny you have. It can be addictive or people can binge on it, much like my good friend alcohol.
