"FTP timeout"

I have just been trying to upload some files to my site when my PC crashed, when I rebooted and tried again my FTP client gets an error message from Freeolas FTP server saying Error 421 Too many connections (3) from this IP This is because my client was still connected at the time of my crash. Does anyone know how long I have to wait for the server to drop my idle connection so that I can connect again??

I guess it's all sorted by now ;¬)

If you have a router did you try restarting that, as that would have dropped the connection? Otherwise it seems like 30 minutes seems to be the magic time for clearing stale adsl sessions etc.
