at college i have a mate who hates xbox and ps2 and wants to get a gamecube for christmas i have nothing against this but to try to have a conversation with anything to do with the ps2 or xbox is impossible he just says their crap and so are all the games on them and sometimes even just resorts to verbal abuse ?

i mean i'm getting a xbox for christmas and this made him go berserk why ?

the only reason i'm choosing a xbox over a gamecube as a second console (owning a ps2 already) is becasue i like more games that are on it or coming out for it like

unreal tournament
halo
halo 2
morrowind
starwars knights of the old republic
battlefield 1942
perfect dark zero

etc etc

what is the matter with people are they brainwashed ? why can't everyone just get along with out having ridiculous arguments about games consoles ?

Because were all little kids playing bright colourful games designed by 7 yr olds for 7 yr olds on our Qubes... its an image that may slowly be changing with certain recent GC releases but to the uneducated Nintindo = Fisher Price.

Their loss i say.

I Can understand why his mate likes the cube, What I can't understand is why he doesn't like the Xbox, but I can understand why he doesn't like PS2

I can fully understand you getting a GameCube, I'll buy one myself after Christmas.

I can fully understand buying an Xbox too, I may invest in one after Christmas, or more likely wait a while.

I just can't understand the hoardes of people buying a Playstation 2, a console that has never really had any redeeming features, bar GTA.

Your friend does sound like a stupid fanboy.

But then again, why people would choose an X-Box or PS2 over a GC is a mystery to me..... I've got nothing against them, except they're funding corporations who, I feel, are changing gaming for the worse

XBox has a good deal.

I prefer GC.
