Rob Van Dam (Rickoss) vs Chris Benoit (Grandprix) is our match today!
A Heavy Beat plays and out comes RVD to a huge POP from the crowd. RVD has been a Fan Favourite since he signed for the WWF and is a great athlete.
DA NA NA NA! Chris Benoit comes out and gets a mixed reaction from the crowd. Benoit has been on a big losing streak and will want to get a win here.
Ding, Ding! The Bell rings and the two circle each other before locking up, RVD gets a headlock, RVD now runs towards the ropes with Benoit in his mercy, RVD bounces back and Bulldog. RVD now picks up Benoit and lays a few punches to the face staggering Benoit to the corner where RVD kicks Benoit in the mid-section a few times and then runs up Benoit's chest and kicks him in the face, Beautiful!
Benoit again his dazed and staggers out of the corner and is met by a Spinning Wheel kick from RVD. RVD keeps Benoit on the ground by laying a few stomps and then applies a side headlock to Benoit, RVD keeps the move on for a bit to keep the pain and then lets go and picks Benoit up, he tosses him into the ropes, Drop Toe Hold, RVD now keeps hold of Benoit's feet and then applies a submission move known as The Surfboard! This is tremendous pressure on the back off Benoit as RVD's feet are digging into him. Benoit cannot move in this move and is trying desperately to get out of it as he hits a few lucky punches to RVD's head and that gets him out of the move.
Benoit gets up quickly and so does RVD! The two just stare at each other as the crowd are liking it! Now the two go at it! Both exchange right and left hands to each other until Benoit blocks one of RVD's and hits a kick to the mid-section of RVD, but no RVD catches Benoit's foot with his other hand and before he can do anything Benoit flips back and onto his feet again and then hits a massive clothesline taking RVD down!
Benoit picks up RVD by the waist and goes behind him, German Suplex, and another, another and then a massive 4th one. Benoit is tired from doing all them German Suplex's but RVD is reeling in pain and Benoit gets up and stomps RVD out of the ring via underneath the bottom rope.
RVD lays there on the outside for a few seconds and then Benoit goes out and lays some punches to the back of RVD. Benoit sets up for throwing RVD into the guard rail but RVD reverses it and Benoit goes into the guard rail hard!
RVD now see's his opportunity and jumps onto the guard rail, he runs and then flies at Benoit and hits a superb Spinning Wheel kick to the face of Benoit. RVD gets up and lays the battered Benoit onto the Table. RVD jumps onto the table and sets Benoit up for a Sit-Down Powerbomb, but no oh my god Benoit hits a face jam right through the table to RVD! RVD lay there with Benoit trying to get there breath back. Benoit is first up and crawls into the ring. RVD tries to grab something to pull himself up which he finally does but then falls down again with exhaustion. Benoit has enough and goes to the outside and grabs RVD by the head and slams him into the ring post, Benoit keeps hold of RVD's head and is dragging him towards the rampway. Benoit is now half-way up the rampway with RVD and Benoit grabs a Fire Extinguisher, oh no this is gonna bust RVD open. Benoit raise's it above RVD's head but suddenly RVD bursts into action and hits a spinning wheel to the Fire Extinguisher and it hits Benoit on the head busting him right open!
RVD grabs the bloody Benoit and takes him right to the top of the rampway and knee'shim in the gut then hits a Superkick knocking him down. What is RVD doing? At the moment RVD is seeming to climb the Titan Tron, what is he gonna do? RVD gets right over Benoit, Motions to the crowd by pointing to his back 3 times saying his name along with the crowd and then RVD flies of the top of the Titan Tron and hits the Five Star Frog Splash on Benoit! But he hasn't as Benoit just rolled away in time.
RVD lay there, he could be seriously injured. Both men lie there in pain but most off all RVD isn't even moving. Benoit is slowing getting his senses back and picks the battered RVD up, Benoit's head is still bleeding and his face is covered in blood. Benoit throws RVD back into the ring and then crawls in the ring himself.
Benoit gets up slowly after getting his breath back and throws RVD into the ropes, RVD flies back and trys to hit a Clothesline, But Benoit grabs his arm and takes him down in a armbar then locks on the Crossface! RVD is crying out in pain and it looks like he is ready to tap, this would do him good if he taps as he may be injured and needs to be looked too. RVD taps! This one is over.
Well what do you think of match JR? "Well this one was so aerial and submission typed there was no pins but suprisingly it worked as it was a really entertaining match, RVD stuck his neck out to make this match great by flying from a great height from the Titan Tron, he did miss but what made it special was that he carried on after, despite a risk of injury"
