Who said it would have to be cell-shaded?

Just use the Jet Set Radio concept, and create a game with it. Doesn't have to be cel-shaded!

I read about it on Gamespot, and there aren't any screenshots as yet. Maybe cell-shading will work on GBA: considering how amazing Monkey Ball looks there is a lot of hardware potential to be unlocked on that machine.

true.
speaking of which, are there any plans to bring GTA to the gba? i remember that the gbc version of gta was just ok, but i recon rockstar could do some pretty cool stuff with the licence on the gba. i mean, look what they managed to get out of the poor ps2?! (sarcasm).
worth a thought.

Perhaps a top-down old GTA-style view for Crazy Taxi??

i was just about to ask the same question; how would the gba manage the cell shading? not as good as we might hope i think. it should manage a fair stab at it but i recon that cell shading only looks good when it really looks good, if ya know what i mean. ie. if the hardware cant cope with cell shading, then the developers should shy away from it as it wont have the same effect.

also i recon that crazy taxi could be a really good game on the gba, if the developers dont try to do a straight conversion. this is because the thing that made crazy taxi great was the fact that it was fast paced, and the cities that you drove around in were full of life and movement.
i dont think the gba could handle all the action that would be required for it to follow in crazy taxis path.

I wonder what that cel-shading will look like on the GBA screen?

It'll be good to see how this works-out. I'm also looking-out for more on the Crazy Taxi GBA game... If that's still on-going?

heh, that'll be interesting.

But going from the Tony Hawk games on GBA, it could actually be pretty good!
