Also who make the DVD's I don't know because if Sony made them I would buy the bulit in DVD player because Sony is a well known company and with Sony you are given a DVD you know you can trust but I say to you keep the DVD or drop it of the system.
A £200 Sony isn't going to be 'top of the range', but for over £1000 it'll be about the best you can get.
Playback quality doesn't differ too much, but the extra functions and features do. For examlple, my DVP-S725D allows me to view all angles of a multi-angle disc at once.

Nope, I kept it. It's a Region 2 only high-end Sony player.
I use my PS2 for R1 discs only.

Do you ant to keep the DVD player with the Playstation 2 and pay £200 or £100 for just the Playstation 2.
But remember Sony DVD player's are top of the range.
