As I was on my way to Cardiff, I thought I would buy a mag. I was looking to buy OPS2 like I usually do. But the newsagents near White Hart Lane didnt have any. So I decided to buy Gamesmaster instead. I always though it was a decent read...
Anyway as I was flicking through the mag I came across a feature about the future consoles. It was a head-to-head between the X-Box, Gamecube and PS2. Ok, they were hugely biased towards X-Box for some reason but Ill let it go since its a new console and they are excited and stuff.
One of the head-to-head rounds featured a BATTLE OF BEAT-EM UPS. So it was Virtua Fighter 4 against Dead or Alive 3 against Super Smash Bros Melee. They have said that Dead Or Alive wins by a huge margin. So they gave PS2 a 3 for that round, X-Box a 7 and Gamecube 5.... Sounds dodgy doesnt it? Well, I though who cares what they think. SO i carried on looking thorugh the mag till I reahed a Virtua Fighter 4 review. So I read it it gets 92%. But what struck me most was what they said in their Final Comment thing.
I quote "Sega have given Sony a game that beats DOA3 with a straight KO. VF4 has the depth, gameplay and graphics of a true classic.
EH????Just few pages back they have said "The power of X-Box's tells when it comes to scrapping. Super slick kloading times and fantastic graphics mean DOA3 kicks bottom".
So Gamesmaster get your act together and at least consult each other when writing your articles.....

Bains, they were comparing the games themselves. It included everything, not just graphics. In the VF4 review they said DOA3 has better graphics but still thats a bad bad mistake by them.....
Sounds as though in that comparison thing they are just comparing the superficial parts of the game. Loading times, graphics etc...
While the Reviews are concentrating on the actual gameplay elements.
But what do i Know? I'm just going on what you have wrote...

LOL, thats why i always stick to....well actually i dont buy many mags anymore. I always use to buy POWER but they suddenly stopped, shame really as it was an ace mag with some of the best writers around.
