According to NGC #65, a man called Adam Curtis has completed a project to solve this problem, and has come up with a final product to hopefully soon go on sale!
But it won't be available in stores like SR ( :( ) or anywhere else for that matter, as you'll have to order one from his site (which can be found in the magazine).
But you'll have to be 18+ to get one.
Apparently, this piece of kit fits snuggly inside the GBA and frame the GBA screen with White Light, not backlighting the screen. To add this to your GBA you'll have to take the GBA apart, which is probably the only downside.
But still, great news for us GBA owners!
Remember the GameBoy Light??
No, of course not! It was the first GameBoy to be released with a back-lit screen, and didn't get any further than Japan, like the 64DD. I don't know why it failed, maybe cuz of the battery power required??
And what if this is true about a back-lit GBA?? This would mean we'd be spending more money than if we just got a magnifier or this other invention! And what are the chances of it coming here first, before Japan, let alone even reaching Europe!!???
But the better news for people like me that didn't rush in and by a Dark Boy Advance is that Nintendo are planning on releasing the GameBoy Advance + sometime this summer. It will come complete with a backlight and new colours although will probably cost about £20 - £30 more.
Honestly guys! Anyone would think this was your only website. Theres a fountain of information out there on the web...go use it sometime (and I dont mean porn!!!)
Sounds dodgy to me though. You have to do some soldering and the Warranty on your GBA also becomes invalid.
