Firstly, Blueyonder and NTL are not available in my area. Is there anyone else with the same sort of price I could try? Names and websites would be helpful.
I can get BT openworld. i heard rumours that they were dropping their price. Any truth in that?
And finally, what types of broadband internet are there, and which are best/cheapest?
Any help is appreciated
I will get my broadband..
> Yup, £23/month as of April first, but you've still got to buy the modem
> yourself..
£100 from PIPEX with 2 micro filters.... one off...
MONTHLY:
£23 (PIPEX)
£10 (BT line)
-------------
£33
at the moment:
MONTHLY:
£15 (AOL)
£10 (Bt line)
-------------
£25
An initial outlay of £100 (possibly cheaper) AND only £8 a month more? Worth it? Yes.
> Yep, still gotta pay BT line rental.
cheers.
Pipex also lowered their prices today! Whooo - this might be the perfect time tp push your Dad ;)
I'm seriously considering buying this now!
It says your line must be provided by BT - once the service is installed, do you still pay for the line rental on your BT line as well as the £30 PIPEX charge?
> Pipex Pipex Pipex!!!
website website website!!!
;)
£30 a month for 512k ADSL, with no install fee, though you do need to buy your own modem, which are anything from £50-£150.
Its a much better service than BT Openworld and the like, and you can be up and running in a matter of days.
I want Pipex, if I can talk my dad into it..
