I was playing GTA3 again on Saturday (I've done around 3 missions now! 6%!!) and have come to the conclusion that there's something wrong with the cars on this game:

They have no indicators.

With Liberty City being a typical American city, the layout is in 'blocks' as such you have to make many sharp turns. Every time I go to make one, I want to indicate, but am not able too.

Plus I keep crashing because I drive on the left without thinking.

Hopefully GTA4 will allow you to switch to English driving, and put indicators on the cars, so I'm not such a danger to other road users.

Yeah, if you're turning right and the road is clear you can go.

(Note, as they drive on the other side of the road, a right hand turn doesn't cross any traffic, much like a left we'd take here in the UK.)

Yeah, no roundabouts in the States. ;-)
My gf doesn't like the idea of driving over here. Roundabouts scare her. ;-)) Over there they don't need them. Its all straight roads crossing over. ;-)
They have some weird ideas on their roads too. I can't remember the exact rule, but I know your allowed to jump red lights under certain circumstances. I've seen plenty of near misses while I've been there. ;-))

I think its something to do with turning into the direction of the traffic. I'll have to ask my gf about it and get back to this subject later. ;-))

Yeah I got annoyed when police where chasing me down when there was about a dozen or so Gangsters shooting at me. The police just totally ingnored them. Its strange because on GTA2 the cops always returned fire when gangmembers where shooting everywhere.

I'm eager to see the police dealing with OTHER criminals. It's frustrating to be pulled from your car when stopped at the traffic lights, only for the police car behind not to react.

You can bet your life as soon as you steal your OWN car back though, you'll be nicked.

My problem is that I haven't got a PS2! I've spent hours running around the streets, using the disc as a steering wheel, but on-one seems to die when I run into them. WHY WON'T THEY DIE!!! The game ends when I get 'busted' and appear before a Magistrate's Court.

I was playing a game with indicators the other day. Think it was Burnout on the PS2, not totally sure though...Think it was Burnout yes. They are automatic though.

I saw one in the outskirts of Vancouver. It was quite a shock seeing it. It was only a tiny little thing, but still...after not seeing a roundabout for the two weeks I had been in Canada prior to that...

I've always thought roundabouts would be good. They should also include driving lessons, and more signposts, and maybe the occassional duck crossing.

But then the ability to drive safetly just wouldn't be GTA3...
