They have no indicators.
With Liberty City being a typical American city, the layout is in 'blocks' as such you have to make many sharp turns. Every time I go to make one, I want to indicate, but am not able too.
Plus I keep crashing because I drive on the left without thinking.
Hopefully GTA4 will allow you to switch to English driving, and put indicators on the cars, so I'm not such a danger to other road users.
(Note, as they drive on the other side of the road, a right hand turn doesn't cross any traffic, much like a left we'd take here in the UK.)
My gf doesn't like the idea of driving over here. Roundabouts scare her. ;-)) Over there they don't need them. Its all straight roads crossing over. ;-)
They have some weird ideas on their roads too. I can't remember the exact rule, but I know your allowed to jump red lights under certain circumstances. I've seen plenty of near misses while I've been there. ;-))
I think its something to do with turning into the direction of the traffic. I'll have to ask my gf about it and get back to this subject later. ;-))
You can bet your life as soon as you steal your OWN car back though, you'll be nicked.

I saw one in the outskirts of Vancouver. It was quite a shock seeing it. It was only a tiny little thing, but still...after not seeing a roundabout for the two weeks I had been in Canada prior to that...
But then the ability to drive safetly just wouldn't be GTA3...
