Yes, you heard me, it was all a bit mince after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutrles went down the tubes. Maybe this post is just another sign of me getting old, but I'm truely determined to disbelieve any child thta enjoys watching cartoons on TV these days. A whole generation of kids and adults in the eighties were brought up on TV and pre-microwave cooked TV-meals. I blame the eighties for the inane ramblings of students today, our insane culture, and our unbelievable way of life.

If it wasn't for the fact that the Transformers have a universal greeting that makes people who hated you instantly become your friends, then the student would never have embraced alcohol. Believe me, this is true, walk into any students union across the land, and you will find students half-cut and mumbling in a language you do not understand. Then when it happens to you next, don't give them funny looks, but give a look, of, "oh yeah, universal student greetings, we're all friends here"!

Students also have a great sense of camaradery these days. Look around a university, and you will see people in little groups, no larger than four at all times. In every group there is a cool one with a big cigar, one who pulls all the women, one who is stupid and one who could take your head off with one shot. Again, we blame eighties TV, and the A-Team to be precise. If you don't believe me on that one, ask any student to hum the theme tune to the A-Team, if you find one who doesn't know it, they're probably a Law or Medicine student..........

I could probably go on for hours talking about the strange similarities between today's students and eighties TV, but I wont bother, because like all good eighties TV shows, I give up when I'm in my prime!!!!

Yup, completely agree.

Here's a site. Every eighties cartoon you can think of... Inspector Gadget, Trap Door, Turtles, He-Man... they've even got Ewoks down there.
