The lawsuit filed in federal court says the man died last year after hitting his head and mouth on a table during one of the seizures. It claims the man never had seizures before buying a Nintendo-64 player in 1999.
His mother is seeking unspecified damages for her own medical and funeral expenses, for mental and emotional anguish, and for her son's lost future earnings.
A spokesman for Nintendo is declining comment on the lawsuit. In court records, the company denies any wrongdoing. "
Stupid woman.
There are warnings all over the boxes, and it says you should take a 15 minute break every hour.
I'm also going to sue Nintendo for getting a blister on my thumb, trying to roll up Snowhead on Majora's Mask when the Goron was still blowing because I didn't have the good sense to put him to sleep.
Right up until night of the 3rd day was I getting blown off the end.
D'oh.
And, what's a 30 year old man doing living with his parents playing computer games all day?
Hmmmm... *Sighs* Americans....
Damn that Psyco flick..........
Mother is still alive, she really is, I tell you!!!
I've been known to spend 12-14 hours a day on games when I rent them out.
Have to get my money's worth, y'know ;)
Man: 30 years old. Lives with parents and plays games all day. If he's happy, who cares? Certainly not evil.
Nintendo: Puts warnings on boxes, makes games addictive. Meh.
Evil, evil old mother: Suing for future earnings. Right.
Except that someone over here will do it soon as well, no doubt. Hopefully our judges will have the sense to throw it out of court, if and when it happens.
Christ, who can play games for 8 hours a day anyway? Don't they get bored? Don't they need to stop to go to the toilet, or have something to eat, or go to the shops?
They must have *something* else to do, to have a break from it for a while.
My eyes feel dead after playing Zone mode on Wipeout fusion for 10 mins, there's no way I could play it for 8 hours a day!
Madness I tells ya...
