"BATON ROUGE, LA. A Louisiana woman is suing Nintendo, alleging her 30-year-old son suffered seizures after playing video games for eight hours a day, six days a week.

The lawsuit filed in federal court says the man died last year after hitting his head and mouth on a table during one of the seizures. It claims the man never had seizures before buying a Nintendo-64 player in 1999.

His mother is seeking unspecified damages for her own medical and funeral expenses, for mental and emotional anguish, and for her son's lost future earnings.

A spokesman for Nintendo is declining comment on the lawsuit. In court records, the company denies any wrongdoing. "

Stupid woman.

There are warnings all over the boxes, and it says you should take a 15 minute break every hour.

I'm also going to sue Nintendo for getting a blister on my thumb, trying to roll up Snowhead on Majora's Mask when the Goron was still blowing because I didn't have the good sense to put him to sleep.

Right up until night of the 3rd day was I getting blown off the end.

D'oh.

What fools American people can be. As it has said in here already, there are warnings all over the boxes saying to take breaks while playing.

And, what's a 30 year old man doing living with his parents playing computer games all day?

Hmmmm... *Sighs* Americans....

Apart from the kinda blurry graphics, I can't see any reason why someone would have fits at JUST Nintendo games. If it's possible for someone to have fits at blurry graphics, then it can happen.

Only 8 hours?

I've been known to spend 12-14 hours a day on games when I rent them out.

Have to get my money's worth, y'know ;)

Still, who's the real evil here? Hey?

Man: 30 years old. Lives with parents and plays games all day. If he's happy, who cares? Certainly not evil.

Nintendo: Puts warnings on boxes, makes games addictive. Meh.

Evil, evil old mother: Suing for future earnings. Right.

That is stupid. Americans can sue anyone for anything. As you said, there are warnings all over the place. Idiots.

Only in America...

Except that someone over here will do it soon as well, no doubt. Hopefully our judges will have the sense to throw it out of court, if and when it happens.

Christ, who can play games for 8 hours a day anyway? Don't they get bored? Don't they need to stop to go to the toilet, or have something to eat, or go to the shops?

They must have *something* else to do, to have a break from it for a while.

My eyes feel dead after playing Zone mode on Wipeout fusion for 10 mins, there's no way I could play it for 8 hours a day!

Madness I tells ya...
