You can get a Dreamcast, Chu Chu Rocket and Dead or Alive 2 on this site for...
£181.98
Not too much more, but still quite a lot. Put in a pack for £175 and I'll buy it from you SR!
**Cough** I have a DVD player anyway, which I brought with all my riches, so thanks for the offer.
Of course Damo, the Dreamcast for another 50 isn't worth it. Have you actually played or seen graphics of recent games on the Dreamcast?
Sony are worried, the PS2 sells well at a cheap price in Japan and games are not being brought. Sony, unfortuantly, has left profit to the games, and now no-one is buying them. How are they going to get enough money to save them?
Then Sony have a brainwave, when the PS2 comes to Europe, why not put an extra hundred on the price tag, to compensate for no game sales. We don't care if you buy games or not now, we've got your money!
I was wondering why the PS2 was so expensive, and this completely explains it!
Anyway, I can't afford another console at the moment, and then there are the games to go with it and the peripherals (note: peripherals are not chocolate covered balls of pastry) and everything else. Oh for more money!
Back to the subject...I know Sony are making a loss (allegedly) on the PS2 and making money on games (that are not selling as well as the console anyway, whoops!) but it's not acceptable to put the console at that price in this country and less in others. I might buy a machine from somewhere else in Europe instead now.
Umm. Price comparision. Ah yes!
The PS2 will cost about £300, we think the X-Box will be more like £400, the Gamecube will be £200, and the Dreamcast is £150.
Does anyone really want to fork out £300 or more for a console? You have to be really sure you want it before you spend that sort of money (£150 is still a lot mind)
What I'm saying is, not many people are taking into account the price of the actual console, instead they say how good the graphical capabilitys are. This is utter bum. The games have to be good yes, but only that and the price of the system should make any impact on what system to buy.
Would you all buy a system half the price of PS2 if it could play games just as good, and have a better selection of games a the moment, and for a very long time? It seems not.
(I think I did quite well there changing it into a subject.)
