First I created the website... then I created the FTP connection account.
Began to upload my files to my webspace... Started by logging into my webspace via FTP using Internet Explorer, got the message (Login Authentication failed)... Did the same using FireFox... Again the same message appeared... Checked my login details a hundred times.... They are all correct.
Decided to use an FTP client to connect to my FTP account.... Used Transmit as my FTP client.... Entered all the login details correctly and carefully... Again... kept getting the same message... (Login Authentication failed)
Finally I decided to use a terminal application, in order to login directly to the server... Issued an open command to the server... Got a response from the server... Entered my user name... the server responded OK for user, and prompted me for the password... Entered my password... and OOOPS... (Login Authentication failed)
At that point, I gave up.
Same here.. Did try to connect my free hostet site. The system wouldn\'t let me in. ??? Shall i give up?
Hi muggie ...
Do you have a connection with Freeola? If you have, then contact Freeeola Support for assistance.
If you haven't, have you read this thread?

Thanks DL... I am now off, trying to find another free website to host my late wife's memorial website, for free, and forever.
All righty matey, off you go ... would have thought that your late wife might have been worth spending a bob or two on to perpetuate her obviously well-loved and celebrated life;¬)
That is clever... give a free webspace... and charge to upload into it.
Clever? That's simple ;¬)
The free, standard hosting works well for me :¬)
Remember you need to be using a Freeola internet connection (ADSL or dial-up) else you would need to use VIP Hosting or a Web Freedom account.
