Why is it that game comapnies always try and baffle up with power spec of the consoles? Sony did it a bit but they emphisied the 32 bit of their first machine, but rather than saying all the next gen consoles are 128 Bit we have the debate of "mines got more polygons than yours!"
Here was a conversation i overheard the other day in EB
"boy 1" Well i like my PS2 cos its out now and has good games
"boy 2" yer but im gonna wait for the xbox as it has more polygons"
I had to use all my strength to stop myself from slapping the kid!
Basically who cares about how many polygons it can pull off?
If it has good games and is fun to play then thats all that matters. I mean the origioanl PS had less powerer than the DC and N64 but yet its only just going down the path to the firey pits that the other 2 have already gone. I mean how many of you out there are buying an X-box just because its more powerful. Be honest?
