latest news from nintendo is that they are joining with panasonic to make a gamecube that plays DVDs called the Qcube. it has the same specs as the game cube with the addition of a DVD drive (there for making it bigger). So there gos nintendos phase "the gamecube is for soley games" does this mean gamecube sales aren`t as good as nintendo say they are, or are they so good they can afford to make two consoles. I for 1 am glad they aren`t releasing a DVD + game player console because it will up the price and i already have a DVD player (thats why i didn`t get a ps2). So what do you guys think of the situation and which one will you buy.

It's a shame that the Q isn't coming over here, and you have to pay over £400, apparently, just to import one!
I'd rather stick with GameCube anyway, and i'd rather have a PS2 or X-box downstairs, outta my way, for watching DVD's.
And Boz, if you chose NOT to get a PS2 cuz you have a DVD player, what difference does it make??
You could have a PS2 in your room, so you could watch DVD's and play games in upstaris! While your mum and dad watch them downstairs on te DVD player!
And the PS2 is mainly a game console, with the extra DVD facility.
