Ah, Borderlands 2… It isn’t easy summarizing such a versatile, original and absolutely stunning game. For those of you who may sadly be unfamiliar with the plot of Borderlands 2, here is a quick summary. 5 years ago on Pandora, 4 Vault Hunters discovered a mythical Vault and defeated an alien entity known as the ‘Destroyer’ and since then, a valuable mineral called Eridium has been proliferating on Pandora. Handsome Jack, a manipulative member of one of the biggest corporations present on the planet, decides to get his hands on this mineral and uses it to control the corporation. He now rules over Pandora and its inhabitants, while a bigger Vault is said to be located on Pandora.

The sequel is just as addictive as its predecessor, but Borderlands 2 is definitely surpassing the first with the following additions:
-The graphics are breathtaking, Gearbox has successfully made Borderlands 2 even bolder, brighter and cheekier than the first.
-The quests keep coming, with DLCs being released periodically until mid-2013, extending gameplay time and offering extras via Shift codes.
-More areas to discover, more treasures to be found and a new Badass ranking system to personalise your skills even further.
-One can play online and/or with friends, the enemies get stronger as players unite!
-With a choice of 5 distinct characters, each with a particular set of skills, one can explore the wonders – and comical horrors of Borderlands for hours on end (trust me and my bloodshot eyes!).

Overall, Borderlands 2 is a great long term investment, a must-have game and if you haven’t played the first one yet, get them both!
