In another 10 years what will the graphics be like then?
And will all the old consols that were da farthers off todays supercomputer be forgotten?
For example, crowds by racetracks always look like cardboard cutouts. Those will become individuals and animated as the processors can cope with more to do. Trees and scenery are already moving from 2D to 3D, some even with moving branches and leaves falling off them (DOA2 for example), but not all games are up to this standard yet.
In 10 years time these things will be expected, including the beehive with the bees flying about in the tree above the 300 people who are watching the 30 racing cars fly past them. (You may even see a bee hit your windshield in first person cockpit view).
In 30 years time I think we'll be talking about projected images rather than just those on a flat screen. And in 30 years time I'll probably still be playing on a Megadrive, a Dreamcast, and my PS2, although I may be drooling a bit more than I currently do.
