Im hoping someone can help me. I have a website with freeola and am trying to install some forum software for it but i keep getting an error when i run the install script : 500 internal server error. so i looked at my error.log and it has this: mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 40 seconds refere:
Now i sent a ticket in yesterday and all i got back was "It must be a software issue"
Ok i thought so i went back to the software's site and raised the issue with them, and they spent all day yesterday trying to help me but with no success. It boils down to this error in the error.log mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 40 seconds and after digging around in google it seems this error has something todo with Apache.
Unfortuatly im no tech head so i dont understand what this means but all i want to know is if its something freeola can help me with or not?
any help would be great
Thanks
Mark
Can't really help, but as you are say mod_fcgid is Apache related.
Any 5xx error is server related but it's possible to create a 500 issue due to problems with a script/app install so it could still be a problem on your side?
It may help if you say what forum s/w you are using in case others have had issues.
