Here's a collection of the best articles I have submitted in the past. Jimmy, hope you like them

TOP TEN GAMES OF ALL TIME

My top 10 games of all time are listed below, along with a brief reason for why I think they are the best.

GOLDENEYE (N64) - The Best Multiplayer of its time, good even now, with lots of secrets and a great single player mode.

METAL GEAR SOLID (PSX) - Atmospheric is not the word, superb only let down by its replayability being poor.

MARIO 64 (N64) - Before this game I doubted that the platform genre would survive the transition from 2D to 3D, this blew away those doubts.

DRIVER (PSX) - Pushes the playstation to its limits, a change from run of the mill racing games. Only let down by the ridiculous difficulty setting on the last level.

RESIDENT EVIL 2 (PSX) - I love the Resident Evil series, but this is my favourite due to its great playability and with lots of alternative ways to complete the game, a game nobody should be without.

LEGEND OF ZELDA (N64) - The ZELDA series comes of age in this superb game, with hours of gameplay, and great visuals.

MARIOKART (SNES) - My favourite SNES game, and better than the N64 version by far, tones of secrets great lastability.

CANNON FODDER (AMIGA) - Simple, yet addictive gameplay. Superb fun to play and with a great sense of humour.

FLASHBACK (AMIGA) - Excellent action/adventure game, great storyline. Excellent cut-scenes added to the games atmosphere.

SONIC 2 (Megadrive) - Excellent 2 player mode, great platforming action from Sega.

Ok. that's my top 10 games, I thoroughly recommend all the above titles to anyone, they're great. What are your favourite 10 games, or what are your top 10 games on each format (e.g. playstation, N64, etc..) ??

I hate to disapoint you, but Gameaday has to be won with original material. So if you do win, the rules are broken.

METAL GEAR IS EXCELLENT

How can you slate MetalGearSolid, it's a videogame masterpiece that completely immerses you in the world of stealth/action. In what other game can you sneak up behind a guard and snap his neck or smoke cigarettes to view the infra red detectors. The atmosphere is tense and exciting, the game is the simply superb, its as closest a game has got to the cinematic experience. The game isn't without humour either I almost cried laughing when the ninja kept shouting "Hurt me more!". Sure the game isn't perfect, it is let down by its replayability. But you just can't fail to notice a great game when you play it, and this is a great game.
I agree that Goldeneye is a Great multiplayer game, but to say the single player mode is only "mildly" entertaining is an understatement. The single player mode is superb fun to play, I've heard PC gamers complain that Goldeneye doesn't have a jump feature and other nit picking points, but this game is amazing. I only recently completed the Aztec level on the hardest difficulty setting and there's still another level for me to get. It still amazes me how many fun cheat modes there are for this game such as Turbo mode, DK mode etc.. the lastability of this game is phenomenal. The only thing that disappointed me about Goldeneye was that the programmers didn't put in a Bond vs. Bond multiplayer feature, so for example you could play as Sean Connery or Roger Moore. Then I could have settled the argument about who the Greatest Bond of all time is, its Connery by the way!

BEST OF THE BEST!

Think for a moment, who's the game character you'd most like to be, or the character you're just dying to meet? But before all you red-blooded males think Lara Croft, or the ladies out their think of Solid Snake, think about it for a second! I mean do you really want to be a Lady with cumbersome sized assets, or a chain smoking murderer suffering from gulf war syndrome??
I've thought about it, and I think the game character I'd most like to be is Conrad, of FLASHBACK fame. Sure I could say I'd like to be Ryu or Ken from Streetfighter, but if I was Conrad then just think of the excitement I'd be faced with every day. Blasting aliens away, messing around with thermo nuclear devices not to mention getting my memory wiped every now and again. Not to mention the adoration I'd get for saving the world from being overrun by an alien master race. I'd be on top of the world!
So who would you be Joanna Dark of PERFECT DARK fame, or EDDY from TEKKEN it's your choice!

£100 SPENDING SPREE

If a friend said they had £100 to spend on their playstion what would you tell them to buy? I searched this website to see what I could get, I was pleasantly surprised:

ISS PRO EVOLUTION - The Greatest football game of all time, nobody should be without this game. £28.99 (Save £11)

DIE HARD TRILOGY WITH ZYKON LIGHT GUN. - Excellent gun game, at this price shouldn't be missed. £16.99 (Save £23)

EA TRIPLE PACK VOL 4 (Includes C&C Red Alert, Theme Park and Populous The Beginning). - Worth it just for Command and Conquer Red Alert. £17.99 (Save £17)

SPECIAL RESERVE MEMBERSHIP/RENEWAL - With a choice of free gift (I would get the 2 playstation joypads). - Great Value for £6.99

DRIVER. - Possibly the best playstation driving game ever, great fun to play. £18.99 (Save £26)

INTERACT MULTI TAP 4 PLAYER ADAPTOR FOR PLAYSTATION - Now those extrapads can be used for multiplayer games such as ISS PRO EVOLUTION. £9.99 (Save £10)

Well that's what I would get for £100; it would save me over £87 too. Of course my choice was heavily swayed by ISS PRO EVOLUTION one of the greatest multiplayer games of all time. I also don't think any playstation owner should be without a multitap, so many games are better when played with friends (e.g. WWF ATTITUDE, FIFA etc…). The above list is for the playstion, how would you spend £100 on your PC, Dreamcast, N64 or Gameboy ???

Here's my list of what Games I'd buy for my N64, with £100.

LEGEND OF ZELDA - Breathtaking Graphics, great storyline the best adventure game for the N64. £19.99 (Save £5)

WIPEOUT 64 - Wipeout comes to the N64, but with up to 4 players it's better than ever. £9.99 (Save £35)

GOLDENEYE - Possibly the greatest game of all time, excellent in multiplayer but still a great singleplayer game. The only Bond game you'll ever need. £26.99 (Save £3)

FORMULA 1 WORLD GRAND PRIX - Like the real thing but on your N64, a must for Formula 1 and Racing fans. £9.99 (Save £20)

V-RALLY 99 - I haven't played this, but for only £12.99 it's an offer to good to miss. £12.99 (Save £27)

BUST A MOVE 2 - Strange Japanese style puzzle game that's highly addictive, a must for all Tetris fans. £14.99 (Save £15)

Well, that's it all £95 of game, with the extra £5 you could always buy a memory pack. You would also save £105 off the RRP of the games which is great. I can't believe that ZELDA is this cheap, I paid over £40 when I brought it.

MULTIPLAYER MADNESS

Multiplayer games are the business! OK so many games are great to play alone, but get a multitap for the playstation and a few extra pads, and the fun never stops. Playing FIFA for example, even when your all playing on the same side is a great laugh. Especially when all 5 players go to crop the computer player at the same time, and theres nothing quite as satisfying as beating that little snot who thinks he`s the king of video games. Another multiplayer favourite of mine is POINT BLANK 2, get two light guns and a mate and your away. Trust me its worth doing! But perhaps the best thing about multiplayer games is the lastability, I still play Tekken 2 and it's a few years old now.
