When you put top Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon in the same film, there is a worry that there may be a clash of the egos.
But, in Ocean's Eleven, this collection of great actors work well together and seem to suit each other perfectly, making it a 'must see' movie.
A remake of the film made famous by the original Hollywood Rat Pack, George Clooney stars as Danny Ocean, who, just 24 hours out of jail is planning the biggest Casino robbery in History.
He teams up with buddy Rusty Ryan (played excellently by the great Brad Pitt) and their relationship is central to the film, making it the success it is.
The pair start putting together their plan to steal more than $150million from the Las Vegas Casinos: The MGM Grant, The Bellagio, and The Mirage, all of which share the same Cash Vault, and the pair enlist the help of nine others to pull it off.
These include Elliot Gould, Don Cheadle-complete with a Cockney accent that makes Dick van D***'s sound fantastic!-and Casey Affleck, all of whom have their own particular skill.
So the plan to rob the Casinos, which happen to all be owned by Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), who happens to be dating Danny's ex-wife Tess (Julia Roberts), begins.
So, could the fact that Tess is Benedict's girlfriend be the motivation behind Danny's plan?
Well, Rusty thiks so, but the rest are unaware of the connection and have just two weeks to get the daring heist planned.
The main part of the film is set around the lead up to the robbery, and although the plot can be a little confusing at times, director Steven Soderbergh (who directed such films as 'Traffic') keeps you enthralled all the way through.
George Clooney and Brad Pitt are both brilliant throughout the film, as are the rest of the crew (although Julia Roberts role is fairly minimal) and the banter between them creates a lot of genuine humour.
This is a film with hardly any bad language, violence or sex scenes in it, that keeps you enthralled right to the happy-ever-after ending, making it a real pleasure to watch. It is quite simply superb!
