I was just pondering over the idea of getting a hard drive and a modem for my PS2 when they come out and I realised that very, VERY little supported one or both. The 2 games that shot straight to mind were Final Fantasy X, with a hard drie to decrease loading, and Final Fantasy XI, with its questionable online capabilities. Apart from that I cant think of anything that supports them. Is it only Square who is brave enough?

What else should be supported by these peripherals? What else IS supported by these peripherals? Please tell me! My bro got a NTSC PS2 and hes wondering wat 2 do. So am I!

How big will the online games be able to go before they become to slow and sluggish to be playable. 10 players? 100 players? 1000 players? Sega's brave claims to say 6 billion players almost got them sued, so what have Sony said about it...

And as for Xbox, which i honstly dont know much about, ive heard to start with Halo is only LAN supported. An EXCUSE for not so online gaming

So in summarisation, is there a point of them being released, and if so, what??

Definatly get a modem for your PS2! there will be loads of games going online soon SR posted about 30 games including FF11 and GTonline, not sure how useful the HDD is, but if it's being sold, it's probably being sold for a reason.
