Hi,

This is bugging me now...

I have the option to 'start yahoo messenger' set, but it doesn't start when I reboot into Windows (7). It used to start fine.

Can someone please shed some light on this.

Thanks,

Neil

Ah, shame. If trillian doesn't work out try Pidgin, I use it all the time.

There does appear to be something wrong with the YIM client. I returned to the system tonight and the process had quit.

I uninstalled and now connect with Trillian.

It does indeed now start after a reboot.

Thanks for the pointers.

So it works again now right?

Otherwise you can always check "msconfig" (type it into the search box in Windows or run it from cmd), the "Startup" tab shows all the programs that have been set to run after boot.

Tried uninstalling YIM, reinstalling and adding a shortcut to Startup. Nothing helps. I also can't open Startup by right-click 'open'.

Looks like I might have to 'repair install' W7.

Edit: The shortcut had strangely been deleted from startup, so I re-added it.

Strange, try putting a copy of the shortcut into the 'Startup' folder in the All Programs list.
