STATE OF EMERGENCY (RATED 18)
It's a Rockstar game and the Daily Mail will have two pages devoted to slagging off its mindless violence against innocent civilians. Not my cup of tea I don't think, although I'll have a go on the demo before I finally decide for sure.
DYNASTY WARRIORS 3
This actually looked quite good, although it also looks a bit complicated. Beat 'em ups and strategic wargames aren't really my cup of tea either, so I may give this one a miss.
HERDY GERDY
Billed as possibly the most original concept for 2002 (whether that's good or bad remains to be seen), this herd 'em up is said to appeal to all ages. I may get this one for my nephew to play when he comes around to visit, if I can drag him away from Agent Under Fire.
REZ
Umm, maybe, but I'd have to be very bored with Wipeout Fusion in order to want to immerse myself into a trancelike bemani state for hours on end.
CENTRE COURT : HARD HITTER
Err
IRON ACES 2 : BIRDS OF PREY
Hmmm
ESPN WINTER X GAMES SNOWBOARDING 2
Nope
ECCO THE DOLPHIN
Dreamcast version put me off this, but the PS2 version is said to be greatly improved. Still a no, though.
GIANTS CITIZEN KABUTO
This is the one I must have out of all the others this week. The humour is original, the storyline and adventuring has a comical slant, the trailers I've seen look excellent, and it'll keep me going until Maximo and MGS2 get released.
