I think I should jsut give up but after yesterdays help about getting out of the basement on the prison level, I am stuck on the bit with the fans. I've switched the fan on, broken it and climbed through, but what then ? I go up the ladder but then can only witness the bad guys hanging the guard and can't do anything about it ? What do I do ? Thanks
Yeah it took me a while to get past that bit, mainly because I didn't know the SWAT guy was being hanged, I always thought he got shot.

You go up to the grate and press (A) it opens it, you can sneek out and shoot through the rope holding the guard. You shoot all the enemies and go over to the guard you saved and talk to him until he gives you his S.W.A.T jacket. You then activate it so you are wearing it.
We work stuff out by trial and error, we arent just able to do it first time always. Its just trying it until we get past a certain bit!

Activate Hero Time, crouch and crawl through the gap under the grate, run in and shoot the ropes holding the guards up then kill all the bad guys.
Don't forget to get the guards Swat Jacket off him.
