Is there any difference between racing "human" opponents or computer controlled cars? In both cases you are battling against "real-time" humans or the programmers' skill, who, after all, is another human, just not there while you are playing the game.
Multiplayer for me is fine when you have your mates around for a footie bash or a bit of GT, but overall I much prefer my gaming solitude for the RPG's. But then that's just me.
The only game that really imitates human life properly is unreal tournament.
