In this high tech era 73 years from now computer games have advanced at a phenomenal rate, so much so in fact that we have all become reliant on computers and AI. With the extinction of ‘Moaning Oldies’ today’s old people are gaming addicts still reminiscing about the old days but this time they are talking about ‘Goldeneye’ or ‘Mario’:
9.00: The day begins as usual when ‘Little Jimmy’ gets woken up by his computers alarm clock.
9.03: After a quick electronic stretch (electrical impulses are sent through the body to use the muscles) the computer reads Jimmy’s mind to reveal that he wants cornflakes (With the voice now unused psychic powers have been developed)
9.15: Pulped cornflakes have been sucked of flavour and then the vitamins have been pumped directly into the body organs. (With the lack of taste buds now becoming apparent there is no use for taste and after bowels were decided as ‘Useless’ they have been irradiated so now food must be pumped into the organs directly)
9.25: After all of this physical exercise Jimmy goes back to sleep.
10.00: Jimmy wakes up feeling newly refreshed.
10.03: After having his computer ponder what to do it decided he should play games.
10.05: The super console known as ‘The Super Console’ loads up and he starts to tell Mario (now in his zimmer-frame) where to go. (With all of the major brands competing in the year 2045 they joined forces and created one awesome console)
11.00: Jimmy is now highly overexcited after having a mind argument with his pal in Japan. Sleep is needed once more.
12.00: Feeling truly awake now Jimmy thinks it is time for lunch. His computer begins to pulp roast beef and vegetables followed by apple pie.
12.05: Pulping complete the pumping once again begins.
12.10: Jimmy needs to learn and so he is plugged in to a socket in the wall. (humans have developed sockets in the back of their heads and information is pushed through the users brain)
2.00: The long schooling session has tired Jimmy out sleep once more is needed.
3.00: Jimmy’s computer decides t is time to watch some television. (Television has now been sped up so more viewing can be achieved in the same time (humans have evolved to be used to this))
The news computer says: Today Sadam Hussein Jr’s computer today announced that he would not let the UN’s robot forces in. After the news Jimmy watches a film starring Mel Gibson’s Computer and Julia Roberts’ Robot.
5.00: Supper time and jimmy is having pulp of liver and onions.
5.30: After recovering from the dinner and days events Jimmy is having a book read to him.
6.00: Jimmy decides to go to sleep for the night.
This routine continues with games getting better and AI getting more until in the year 3000 computers find they didn’t bargain on the millennium bug; and crash suddenly the whole world is in peril…
So remember next time you play games or play on your PC what are the consequences *X-Files music plays* Hey I was talking! Anyway like I said as the theory goes ‘Every action has a reaction’
