Does anybody know anything about registering them, and then selling them at a profit? I know of a few that are still available, but need to know if I'm going to get into all sorts of legal trouble!
Type "Domain names" into any search engine and you will be sure to find more information on where to buy and sometimes even get free domain names. I've also heard that in some countries you can be accused of Domain Sitting (i.e. holding onto a domain name in the hope of making a profit) but I am not sure whether it is illegal over here. You may like to try the computing chat room on http://www.chat.msn.co.uk where you should find someone who can help you further. Otherwise see your solicitor, but hope he is up to date on his IT law. The specific case I know about, is http://www.BankofCanada.com, if you look this up on your browser you will find a site that specialises in Domain Sitting, it might be worth a visit to get some ideas on how to make some money for yourself as long as it is legal.
