Street Fighter 2

Quite simply miles ahead of it's time, and led the field for years. Anyone who disagrees, clearly didn't grow up with this game.

I have also noted (with due amusement) that all your suggestions for 'best game ever' are console games. Surely it is the PC games that break the boundaries?

For multiplayer, it has to be SuperBomberMan on the SNES.

Me and three mates wasted the entire summer after our GCSE's playing that game, every day, for nearly 3 months.

Space invaders is a classic but i prefer newer games

Who thinks that the older 'classics' are better than modern gams

Space Invaders - no other game can match the tension of those little guys and their inevitable march down the screen to your destruction.

I used to think that it had to be Goldeneye but after completing GTA3 it has changed my mind, im just hoping they will bring out a fourth
