Starting from the mad streets of Manchester, you control Liam Gallagher, Oasis frontman, as he tries to take back whats rightfully his, his two front teeth.
The game starts with a cut scene showing how Liam lost them in a battle with some Italian Gangsters. Then its on with the action. You start outside Maine Road where you meet your partner in crime, brother Noel, can be controlled by another player. But this isn't any old partnership, we ain't talking Mario and Luigi here. There is a meter of frustration. When this reaches boiling point both brothers turn on each other hindering the objective.
There is the problem of fans and the press, who get in the way and build up the frustration meter. The only way to deal with these is by learning the two finger salute. This cheeky gesture ensures a path is cleared and you can go on with your adventure.
As a sub-quest Liam must collect Shiiiiines just like in Mario Sunshine. By collecting all the shiiiiines you'll open up an extra level, Create a Decent Album. These shiiiines are hidden all over the Oasis world. When collected they must be returned to the Wonderwall.
To help you on your way there are various power ups. Cigarettes and alcohol improve your health, microphones make Liam more flexible and Live Forever powerups give you an extra life.
The bosses range from the barbers right through to rock hard bouncers. As you defeat these bosses you learn more about the story. You eventually find out that the Italian Gangsters are working for none other than archrival Robbie Williams! He has kidnapped the teeth in order to get back at Liam for insulting him. Therefore you must make your way through the game till you reach Robbie's mansion and finally defeat the beast once and for all. However you must watch out for Robbie's broken heart move and £80million record deal move.
When defeated the ending shows the band playing to another packed out audience then retreating to the bar where Liam is attacked again. A copy of Angels is dropped on the floor by the drunks. Is this just a coincidence? Or is it all part of a Masterplan?
Find out in the sequel: Don't Look Back in Anger
