Funnily enough, Special Reserve's invoice is one of them.
Heres what I've had to say:
-----------------------------------
Special Reserve is a discount games store that uses its own online shop. When you purchase a game from special reserve you receive an Invoice through the post. The invoice is the receipt of purchase that allows the customer to exchange or a get a refund on a purchase that doesn’t work or they don’t want. The invoice from special reserve contains:
· Special Reserve Logo
· Customer Address
· Special Reserve Address
· Special Reserve contact details
· Item code
· Quantity
· Item Information
· Item cost
· Total cost
· Vat
· Promotional items
· Special Reserve Terms and Services
Special Reserve is a commercial company that is used very often by many customers. Therefore the layout of the invoice is set out professionally with use of tables and colour.
An example of the tables used:
Code Brief Description Quantity Product Paid Postage Paid To/FromAccount Paid By VAT included
WV3665 Vice City 1 £33.99 £0.60 £0.00 CARD £5.06
From the example you can see that the company don’t use borders on their frames. However, because it is done in such a way, sometimes it can be misleading to know what information belongs to what.
The Invoice is produced on form feed paper so therefore they can produce many in batch production. The paper is thin and flimsy. The invoice appears to have been produced before the order information is printed on them. When they are first printed, they use a colour contrast of red and white. This makes the document very eye catching. No other colours are used on the invoice until the order information has been printed. The order information is printed in black.
The company logo is positioned top left of the invoice. To the right of the logo is the company’s address and telephone number. Information on confirmation and VAT receipts is situated in the top right corner.
The membership and product information are displayed in the centre of the page from left to right.
In the bottom right hand corner there is a voucher that you can cut out. Five of these vouchers allow you to receive a free gift. This is a promotional scheme used by the company to attract more customers.
A label of the customers address is printed and then stuck onto the bottom left of the invoice.
On the reverse of the invoice, Special Reserve has written useful information about returning goods. They have used small print in which to do this. This is because they either have little room to fit in all the information or that they do not want the customers to notice it. If there is nothing wrong with the order then this information will be of little importance to the customer.
In the bottom right hand corner of the reverse side there is the addresses to all of the company’s seven club shops. This information is set out in a chequered pattern so it is clear to tell what address belongs to which shop.

> I wouldn't be suprised if you GOT caught for spamming.
Damn now I'm spamming, but don't think I did this intentionally.
> Very good, but why do you need to do this kind of thing in college?
> It seems kinda strange.
I know, I thought the exact same. The lesson is called 'Presenting Information' so I guess it was to see how companies present information using computers.
> lol nice post, nice ending too! :)
