Hell you probably already knew this but I've only just looked and found out myself so here you go.

THQ have finally announced details of the first WWF outing for Gamecube. WWF WrestleMania 18 will be the first WWF game to include former ECW and WCW performers such as Rob Van Dam (last seen in Acclaim's Legends of Wrestling), Lance Storm, The Hurricane and Booker T.

It's currently being worked on by Japanese developers Yuke's - the people behind the SmackDown! series - with the emphasis being placed on what they're calling "simulation-style gameplay."

The game features over 35 wrestlers with match types including Hardcore, Tornado Tag and Triple Threat. A Championship Road mode sees you having to work your way up from opening match jobber to WWF champion. The TV-style presentation includes lighting effects, pyrotechnics, camera flashes and multiple camera angles.

As you'd expect, there's also a comprehensive create-a-wrestler function that allows you to alter each character's physical appearance, costume and special moves set.

WrestleMania 18 itself takes place on 17 March in Toronto, Canada, with The Rock, Steve Austin and Triple H expected to head up the show. New WWF signees Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are also expected to play a prominent role in proceedings although there's no word yet on whether any of the three will make it into the game.

The game is due out in the US this summer, although THQ's UK wing is remaining tight-lipped about when it's likely to see a UK release.

Meanwhile, WWF Raw for Xbox is now due out in the US in February although, again, still no news yet on when it's likely to hit shelves in the UK. We'll keep you posted.

Anyone know if the proper music will be included in it for HHH, Undertaker, RVD etc..
