I bought robot wars and i expected it to be a bery poor make of the tv show, but it is actually really good as u can make so many different robots and there are loadsa tournaments and the two player with mad bomber is soo much fun! ne one agree or disagree?

i never use drill weapons plus i can't get underneath coopertron cause of those tracks which is a pain seeing as i got a wedge shaped robot and a flipper. have to rely on my flywheel to do the damage.
just won the world championship which is great seeing as now i've bought chaos 2 and been chucking everyone all over the place including throwing Mortis straight into a open pit. just need to unlock Hypnodisc now.
never experienced any slow down myself.
and alot more actual proper robots from the series would be appreciated like Gemini for the next game and also for them to slow Sgt. Bash down a bit as i know he isn't anywhere near that fast.

I'm a big fan of the show, and the game really conveys the atmosphere and is faithful to the whol RW ethos. The gameplay is good, but as some people have said it suffers slowdown on occasion. Also the camera angles are a total @sshole- sometimes it pans round behind a wall and you find yourself driving into a pit because you can't see a damn thing. That commentator guy is bloody irritating - you'd think they would have recorded more than half a dozen samples for him "there's bits of robot all over the arena!" he shouts every time there's even the slightest collision.

And don't get me started on the technical help girl. Irritating doesn't even begin to describe her - she keeps going over the same boring info again and again. When you just want to skim through the robot editing menus you have to wait while she DRONES ON ABOUT USELESS F#@ĢING RUBBISH THAT YOU'VE HEARD A MILLION TIMES ALREADY!!!!! Okay, calm down. Even when you turn her volume down the pause is still there.
That aside though, I really enjoyed playing against my favourites like Chaos 2 and Mortis. Maybe they'll include Tornado if there's a sequel game.

Definitely a great game, although kill-a-lot or bash falling from the sky when the battle starts, and a robot occasionally flying the length of the arena after a collision is a bit weird.

coopertron is easy to beat, if u have the right weaponary. I got a drill from the scrapyard and it goes straight through the things armour, that and the flipper mean i beat that in under a minute! Some of the axe bots cause problems though

yea it's better than i expected however the collision detection and damage could be better. The robots unless they're facing Hypnodisc don't just disintegrate when hit they get holes and pierce marks in them. And it would be nice to actually be able to have a go at your opponents without the House Robots who are way too powerful storming straight in. Plus more robots from the tv show would be nice along with those made up as well. Even though that bloody coopertron gets on my nerves

I played the demo on the OPS2 disc and I was pretty impressed. I expected a hump of bollards, but it had damn good graphics.

The only thing that done my head in was the constant bashing I received from my opponents, not forgetting that commentator.

HE'S ALWAYS SHOUTING!!!!!!!!!!
