The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Spoofs are a source of amusement they draw us away from our games and lighten the mood at work.
They come in many varieties, you can have Microsoft spoofs (My particular favourite),Nintendo spoofs, Sony spoofs and SR forum spoofs, you name it you guys have probably spoofed it.
So what makes a good spoof?
well it's usually more than a few lines long :D and they are usually wittier than your average SR post, they tend not to be to long or people don’t bother reading them and one other thing, if you are making an SR forum spoof watch what you say about staff members as it may result in your banning, so don’t say I didn’t warn you and most of all it has to be funny (Hence the name spoof, fantastic word isn't it?)Microsoft spoof tends to go down best as they are your chance to get some revenge at Bill Gates for launching windows98 (The hell of Microsoft)
Windows98 was supposed to be faster and more reliable *Sniggers..*Yeah right…
I can just picture it now, Bill Gates at the big announcment ceremony and Windows98 crashes much to the embarrassment of Bill Gates.
The much-hated Windows98 has resulted in many hilarious posts in this forum.
Bill Gates has been the epic centre for many GAD winning posts.
People tend to find it easier making fun of Bill Gates, simply because he’s a big cheesy guy with more money than sense who sells software to customers for a ridiculously overcharged price.
Now Back to the topic.
Spoofs make everyone laugh (Even MrSnuggly) no matter what you write about they will probably be very popular.
Spoofs (whatever they are about) will always be appreciated on these forums.
Spoofs will have a special place in our hearts no matter what they are about, they make the forum a happier place .
So I raise a glass to all those spoofters out there *Raises glass*
May your spoofs be funny and may you live to spoof another day.
Good day all!
