I have just been told that in the US MS have stopped production of the Xbox because they are making more than they can sell.

Surely this is not true. I can not find anything on the net to varify this.

this is good news they make 100,000 xbox's a week there do u expect them to sell them all everyweek

:) apparently it might not have been, as a search of the tiems website archives reveals no news features for the term "xbox" or "X Box" Ah well.....

Apparently it was in the Times newspaper at the weekend.

Maybe that should tell you something eh ? :)

For starters the X Box is manufactured in Mexico, I think, certainly nowhere in the US as the manufacturing costs would be a killer !

With Microsoft shifting 1.5 million units over the holiday season alone then its safe to say this is more net rumours with no truth, like the previous one about DOA 3 being delayed.
